To capture and utilize the energy and commitment of runners in a manner that positively contributes to the betterment of our local community and society as a whole.

Core Values

Runners of Compassion embraces the following values in pursuit of our vision statement and accomplishing our primary objectives:

• The world could benefit greatly from enhanced human awareness and greater compassion for those less fortunate.
• Helping those in need should be done in a selfless and unconditional manner.
• Building strong, inclusive and welcoming communities is integral to the development of a caring and compassionate society.
• We are accountable — to ourselves, our families, our donors, our community and our planet.
• Ideas are much more potent than words — we are motivated by action
• Small acts of kindness have a powerful, cumulative affect.
• Our work should be social, fun and meaningful, reflecting a balanced approach.

Strategic Goals

Through established charities and non-profit agencies, Runners of Compassion will:

• Provide support to children who are underprivileged or disenfranchised in our local community;
• Provide assistance to women who are in abusive relationships and require transition support in order to regain physical, mental and emotional stability;
• Increase local and global awareness of human injustices and indignities in order to raise profile and mobilize action.
